On November 8th, GH Berlin Windward hosted a Customer Appreciation event at Ralph Wilson Stadium, Orchard Park, NY in which the Buffalo Bills defeated the Miami Dolphins in a sold-out arena. The event was well attended by 30 of our New York based customers and GH Berlin Windward staff who enjoyed a sunny 48 degree day in Buffalo, NY. The event was held not only to show our appreciation for our NY based customers, but also to allow those in similar fields to connect and network while tailgating before the game. Metalworking Fluids, Cleaners and Rust Preventives The warm temperatures of Spring are always a welcome change; however, along with warmer weather comes higher temperatures, higher humidity, and unfortunately, rust. Every year from May through September, the Metalworking Industry is plagued with rust problems. Problems that are easily preventable with a proactive fluid maintenance approach. With lower temperatures and humidity during the period of October through February, it’s easy to become somewhat complacent about metalworking fluid maintenance. Some manufacturers allow their concentrations to fall outside of the recommended range, and tramp oil levels to increase. Bacteria growth, hardness, chlorides and sulfates become elevated. Berlin Oil) announced today that it, together with Stephen Eldred will acquire Windward Petroleum. G. H. Berlin, headquartered in East Hartford, Connecticut is one of the largest and most well respected lubricant marketers in the region. The company has been in business since 1920 and operates facilities in East Hartford, CT, Canterbury, CT, Nashua, NH, St. Johnsbury, VT, and Dover, NJ. And for the few in our business who may not know, Windward Petroleum is one of the first and largest private equity rollups in the lubricant distribution space.
